Counselling is a talking therapy that provides a safe, confidential non-judgemental space for you to discuss your difficulties. Our Counsellors are there to listen to you and to help you find solutions. The Light House (Christian Care Ministry) Trust Ltd, provides counselling and supervision services for clients and counsellors from a wide area around Coventry, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

The Light House does not provide immediate access for crisis counselling. If you need to talk to someone to get help now, you can call Crossline, on 0300 111 0101 (lines open between 9am - midnight). Or the Samaritans who are open 24/7, you can them for free on 08457 909090.
Services
We have small team of staff headed up by our Agency Manager, a team of volunteer counsellors and a number of student counsellors who are on placement with us.
Oversight of The Light House is provided by our Trustees.
Our volunteer counsellors are fully qualified and are registered members of one of the accredited registers held by the UK counselling professional bodies e.g.
All counsellors, whether qualified or in training receive on-going formal clinical supervision, as a requirement of their practice.
Our staff counsellors are fully trained and have many years experience of working with couples.
As with individual counselling, The Light House offers a safe space for you to talk through any issues you may be experiencing in your relationship.
We offer individual counselling for anyone regardless of faith, ethnicity, gender or sexuality.
The Light House is a safe place to discuss any issues no matter how big or small in a non-judgemental environment.
We can offer you up to 8 counselling sessions initially, if further sessions are required this will be done in discussion with your counsellor and at the discretion of the agency.
The Light House has a small team of experienced and qualified Counselling Supervisors, who can provide supervision for a range of modalities.
As well as supervising our own student and qualified counsellors, we also offer supervision services to a number of other agencies and counsellors in private practice, (there is a reduced charge for supervision of students in training).
We also have a limited number of places for students on placement.
Students will need to be studying at a minimum of Diploma level 4 and meet our selection requirements before being accepted.
Please note that all those involved in counselling are expected to be committed Christians and will be required to sign a statement to that effect.
This is classified as a 'Genuine Occupational Requirement' in accordance with the ethos of the Light House and with the Equality Act 2010.
