I am an experienced Person-Centred counsellor and Integrative clinical supervisor. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their ethical code. Many years of working with a diverse range of people and organisations enable me to work well with individuals and couples from all communities and backgrounds.
Whatever the challenges you are facing, I provide a comfortable, confidential space, which is safe and respectful where you can talk about your problems. My South London counselling practice has been running since 2002. I worked as a counsellor and organisational manager supporting people with addictions and people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) communities from 1996.
This included a focus on those from Black and minority ethnic (BME) communities and people affected by HIV/AIDS. Counselling can be short or long term, focusing on specific issues or addressing wider whole-life transformation. I use of a variety of counselling methods, chosen to suit your needs.

I will help facilitate an environment where you can talk honestly and openly.

The physical symptoms are partly caused by the brain which sends lots of messages down nerves to various parts of the body when you are anxious.
The nerve messages tend to make the heart, lungs, and other parts of the body work faster.
In addition, you release stress hormones (such as adrenaline) into the bloodstream when you are anxious.
These can also act on the heart, muscles and other parts of the body to cause symptoms.
Anxiety is normal in stressful situations, and can even be helpful.
For example, most people will be anxious when threatened by an aggressive person, or before an important event.
