You can grow beyond your current difficulties, if you have a suitable environment in which to explore and understand what is happening with you, in your own terms. I can help provide this environment. I'm one of Cornwall's leading person-centred psychotherapists, and I also work online, helping people all over the world. I trained with world-leading experts at the University of Nottingham.

As a member of the BACP I adhere to high ethical standards, to protect your privacy and safety. Person-centred therapy / counselling / coaching is a well-established approach that's as effective as other leading therapies or medication, yet with long-lasting change. The original 'evidence-based' approach, it was developed by psychologists rather than doctors, because they knew that real change can only come from within.

Because it works 'from the inside out', it is not dependent on medical diagnosis. Unlike all other types of therapy, the person-centred approach helps you to see things confidently from your own perspective, because you will always be the best expert on you.
Services
I provide talking therapy: by talking with you I can help you move forward.
I won't talk 'at' you, like a doctor might, and I won't expect you to do all the talking, like some counsellors might.
We'll be having real conservations that feel as comfortable as possible.
This list is not exhaustive, so please contact me if you would like to know whether I can help you.
Most of my clients meet me online.
This works very well for many people, and is just as good as face-to-face therapy.
If you want a wider choice of therapist, or if you can't easily travel to them, online therapy might be for you.
You would need a fast internet connection and be confident that you won't be disturbed or overheard.
We can talk on most main apps, including Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Jitsi and VSee.
Many people prefer to meet the traditional way: face-to-face.
Only you can know if you need therapy, but it won't work unless you want it.
Sometimes those close to us might suggest that we consider it.
Therapy can help people at major transitions in life, and those affected by medical and mental illnesses.
Many clients view therapy as an investment in their future.
And for a lot of clients, therapy is the first time that they have ever actually felt properly listened to, and understood.
This alone can be transformative.
Therapy is effective for most client / patients, and is highly effective for many.
