Services
My name is Anna Morelle-Grey and I live and work in Cardiff, Wales.
I am a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist and hold a professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I am a full Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy and am a CCC Registered Counsellor.
I have had extensive experience working as a counsellor for a national mental health charity, and prior to this spent many years as a volunteer with my local branch of the Samaritans.
It was through working at the Samaritans that I realised how powerful it can be for people to be given the opportunity to talk through their feelings, and it was this that led me to undertake a degree in psychology and then to train professionally to become a counsellor.
Counselling and psychotherapy give you the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings, and in doing so find solutions you feel comfortable with.
Many people find that simply having a space to reflect on their situation with somebody who is not personally involved, critical or judgemental is very useful in itself.
Working together with a trained counsellor allows you to look at your life in ways you may not have considered before and to gain insight and understanding.
Exploring the assumptions you have about yourself and about life may reveal how they are holding you back and lead you to reassess or challenge those assumptions.
Sessions cost 55 and last for approximately 50 minutes.
I believe that everyone should have the chance to benefit from counselling therefore I can sometimes offer a sliding scale of charges if you are on a low or limited income (proof required).
The number of sessions required varies from person to person depending on the nature and severity of the issue therefore I am able to offer both short and long-term counselling.
Some people come to therapy because they simply want to get something off their chest or gain clarification about an issue in which case only a few sessions may be needed.
There may be reasons why you are unable to leave the house to attend counselling such as disability, lack of childcare or transport, or perhaps you live in a rural location, far from Cardiff or even outside of the UK.
If so then there are alternatives to face-to-face counselling.
Web counselling - Skype is a free programme that you can use in order to engage in counselling in the privacy of your own home.
All you need is to download the programme from here and make sure you have a microphone, headset and sound.
