Through gaining a clear in-depth understanding of the problems experienced, the most appropriate help may be offered. My name is Marie-France. I am a qualified, registered and accredited counsellor/psychotherapist with over 20 years' experience. I hold an enhanced DBS to work with vulnerable andults an young people from the age of 16 years and offer short and longer term therapy as well as open ended therapy.
I am an approved therapist for the following providers: Aviva, Axa PPP Healthcare, Bupa, Care-First, Cigna, Compsych, Health Assured, Lifeworks, Moving Minds, Nuffield, The Police Firearms Officers Association (PFOA), Validium, and Work Place Options. I have extensive experience working with the full range of life's troubles and challenges including relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, bereavement, stress and work related issues.
I aspire to offer a therapeutic relationship that is accepting and non-judgemental, and in which people can be supported and challenged to find their own way forward to work towards the changes they would like to make.

Counselling is a talking therapy which can help people with emotional and psychological distress and mental health issues.
It provides an opportunity for people to discuss personal difficulties and challenges with someone independent and non-judgmental who has the skill to help make sense of things.
When choosing a therapist it is important you feel the counsellor will sensitively understand you.
It is also important to feel you can trust them and that you warm to them as well.
The counsellor offers a quiet confidential space to explore all aspects of the person's difficulties, their roots and origins, with the aim of finding ways of moving forward.
