Your aim may be quite general or you may wish help with one very specific issue. Perhaps you have been struggling to cope for some time and do not see any solutions.

I have been offering professional, confidential counselling and therapy services for nearly 30 years.
European Certificate in Psychotherapy, which qualifies me to practise in any European country.
Divorce Coach, which means that I can help you with the stresses and strains of going through a Divorce or Separation.
I like to keep up-to-date with current practices and research and am particularly interested in relationship problems and personality issues.
This Counselling/Therapy service is available in Ayr and includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Hypnotherapy, Couple Counselling, Work-Related Stress and Employee Counselling.
Appointments are available during the day Monday to Friday in Ayr.
Everything is suited to your own individual requirements so you can come to as many or as few sessions as you wish, depending on your issues and what it is you would like to achieve.
Clients often choose to come for around 4-6 sessions.
Occasionally clients come for a one-off session.
Counselling/therapy can help with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress and other emotional problems.

You will have the opportunity to talk confidentially about yourself and your problems.
This is a two-way conversation but the focus is on you.
You will be encouraged to talk about whatever is important to you - your problems, your fears, your goals, your triumphs and your difficulties.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is now commonly used for depression, anxiety, OCD and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and general stress.
Many people use CBT to improve self-esteem and confidence or to overcome obsessive thoughts or unwanted feelings.
Cognitive behavioural therapy is now a well-known form of therapy and is generally recommended by doctors for many emotional and psychological problems.
CBT is based on the theory that thoughts, beliefs, emotions and behaviours are all linked.
Hypnotherapy, or the therapeutic use of hypnosis, is based on the mind-body connection.
It is used to increase wellbeing and reduce stress.
It is used for relaxation and confidence building and in the treatment of depression, general anxiety, health anxiety, phobias, panic, relationship issues, mood disorders and all emotional problems.
Hypnotherapy can help you deal with current problems and also past events which are still influencing your present life and preventing you from being as happy as you could be.
