Welcome to Park Therapy - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy / Counselling in Glasgow Glasgow Centre/West End (see map in Directions). Most of us suffer from low mood, stress or other psychological issues from time to time when things may be difficult, or life isn't going the way we expected. Sometimes this stress doesn't just affect our mood - we can experience some uncomfortable physical symptoms and our behaviour can also be affected, which may be why you have decided to get some help.
I am a highly skilled and trained therapist, whose aim is to ensure that my clients always get the highest level of therapy and benefit from the most advanced therepeutic methods and techniques in a safe, confidential setting. I offer a quiet place where you can talk about youself and your life and the problems you are experiencing. A time to think and reflect, and a time that is just for you to explore your issues.
Together, we can identify what is troubling you and keeping you stuck, and identify ways of overcoming these.

Services
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy 'treats' or addresses psychological difficulties through talking.
It aims to help you identify and question unhelpful thoughts and unhelpful behaviours and believes these contribute to why you may feel low, stressed, angry or guilty (and other feelings).
By identifying these thoughts in particular situations, and then trying to tackle these thoughts and behaviours, it is possible to improve how you feel.
Sometimes understanding these thoughts and how they affect your behaviours and emotions may be challenging at first, but in therapy you will work at trying to identify patterns, which helps increase your understanding of why you feel the way you do.

I practise from a quiet and discreet consulting room in Kelvingrove Street within easy reach of both the city centre and the North and West of Glasgow (see map in contact/directions).
It is handy for both bus routes and offers ample and easy car parking (paid).
You can pay by direct bank transfer, but if you do I would ask that you pay for 2-3 sessions upfront.
I supervise trainees in the Certificate and Diploma courses at Dundee and Queen Margaret Universities and have done so for 10 years, regulary attending their training events/workshops and development meetings, along with contributing to their teaching programmes.
