Niall Heron Counselling, Supervision and Training Practice established in 2010 is based in Cookstown Co, Tyrone for the provision and facilitation and collaborative delivery of counselling, supervision and training services. I am based in the Mid Ulster area working in voluntary, statutory and private practice. I can work effectively face to face in one to one or group settings or online via Zoom, MS Teams, WhattsAPP or telephone.
The 'Talking Cure' has been well known for centuries as an effective support tool when you are feeling depressed, anxious, stressed or just wishing to make changes in your life. Working under supervision means that a counsellor or other trained professional utilises the services of an experienced counsellor / supervisor to review work with clients, professional development, and often their personal development as well.

I trained as a counsellor at Queens University Belfast, as well as attending many other training workshops and continuing personal development courses (CPD).
Currently I hold an Advanced Diploma in Person Centred Therapy and have also undertaken additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
I am listed on United Kingdom Register of Counsellors / Psychotherapists.
I trained as a counsellor at Queens University Belfast, as well as attending many other training workshops and continuing personal development courses (CPD).

I work with clients on both a short (6-12 weeks) and long term (open ended) basis depending upon their needs; this is something that we would discuss at our initial meeting.
Cost is 40 per 50 minute session.
If you give less than 24 hr notice or do not attend a scheduled appointment, you may be charged a 25 cancellation fee.
I offer a supportive and stimulating supervisory working alliance in which practitioners can explore and reflect on themselves and their practice.
I have conducted informal and formal supervision on both short and long term basis working individually and in group settings to help with guidance, support, psycho-educational, everyday good practice guidelines and constructive feedback.
