A qualified Therapist and Mediator, I support people within Organisations and Educational Establishments who are going through stressful periods in their life. I believe positive mental health and resilience is increased by the development of good self-esteem, confident behaviour and meaningful relationships. Exploring self-limiting beliefs and behaviours, firstly understanding how they may have originated and but more importantly how they can be changed.

Developing self-awareness is both motivational and very empowering. As a Counsellor my approach is an eclectic, integrated model combining the most useful elements from a wide range of therapies. My practice includes a large percentage of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). CBT is a very solution focussed approach, so the work can be brief yet extremely effective.

My work is Client-Centred and specifically tailored to meet individual client requirements. I have had extensive experience of working with Adults and Young People, helping them find solutions to their problems.

How does Counselling Work?
Counselling works well if the client feels comfortable and at ease with their counsellor, clients need to talk, but also need to feel listened to, accepted and understood, by the therapist.
The client-counsellor relationship is therefore a very important part of the process.
Counselling support can help people through a difficult time and helps them focus on specific problems affecting them.
Counselling can be challenging at times, but this develops self-awareness and sometimes insight of the way forward.
