I have been practising counselling, healing, and psychotherapy for twenty six years and my aim is to support and facilitate your own personal growth and development. I have also been working in the community for two charities as one of their supervisors, Olive Branch and Winchester Bereavement Support. I'm interested in facilitating personal transformation, helping my clients to free themselves from what binds and blinds them.

To find the clarity in their own minds and go beyond daily conflicts which are a personal challenge for everyone. There is no magic wand, but if the client is curious enough then something may unfold. I offer both one-to-one counselling and whole family counselling to facilitate adjustment to separation, divorce or other difficult situations. I can also work short-term via telephone counselling.

Regardless of how we work together, the most important thing in all cases is to create a situation in which you are comfortable and at ease. My main aim is to create a positive environment in which I help you to help yourself and provide support if the therapy gets uncomfortable.
Services
Our first meeting will be an assessment, which we can use to discuss what you need from counselling.
Once we have met and agreed to work together, we'll arrange to meet regularly over a number of weeks or months.
We'll also look for an aim or objective to guide us in the counselling process and later in the therapy there will be a session put aside for a review of our work together.
I prefer to be flexible in regard to fees: I can offer reduced rates under certain circumstances, eg. to students, senior citizens and those receiving benefits, so please contact me for details.
My healing work is based on the ancient art of 'laying on of hands': I use intuition, sensitivity and understanding to draw upon a universal energy in order to bring balance to your energy.
Healing works on all levels - mental, emotional and spiritual.
Sometimes relief from physical or emotional pain can happen almost immediately after a healing session - at other times the healing process can take longer to register.
Sometimes, it can take several weeks or months if a condition has been ongoing or is chronic.
Post Traumatic Stress is not an illness, it's a reaction to an incident which has caused a shift in the psyche, similar to losing someone you love - a bereavement.
It's a normal, natural process that we go through after a shocking incident.
The sensations you may feel after the incident, may be of dread, fear, anxiety and loss of confidence in your everyday life.
Trauma can cause one to feel stuck, and our world to shrink.
It is often safer to stay at home.
Therapy enables us to find a way forward into the world again, and courage to start living with the lust for life that we have lost.
Holistic therapy works with the whole being: body, mind and spirit.
The mind has a great influence on how we feel, eg body memories, and many of our ailments manifest from our dysfunctional thinking patterns, due to our early conditioning.
When we as individuals start to become aware, enlightened, conscious, of these beliefs as our reality through our therapy work, and see that they are only projections of ourselves, we have gained a skill and strategies to help ourselves find who we really are, and so self-healing can take place, and clarity of what is (the truth), emerges.
