Lynda Corbin Counselling Broadstone
Counselling can allow you the space to talk about your concerns, issues and difficulties which you may be unable to share with others. I believe that the therapeutic relationship between therapist and the client is the key to positive change. I offer a confidential, safe space where you can be listened to in an empathic, trusting and non-judgemental way.

I would work with you on a one to one basis, and you would be the centre of our sessions, giving you the time and space to explore your difficulties. Alongside using a Person Centred approach I am also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). Using CBT can be really helpful to identify and change your negative patterns of behaviour. By working together in this way we can enable you to make the changes for a positive happier life.

I run my private practice from comfortable and private rooms in both Verwood and Broadstone. Verwood is easily accessible from Ringwood, Fordingbridge, Wimborne, West Moors, Ferndown, Bournemouth and Poole.
Services
I work in private practice in Verwood and Broadstone where I can offer daytime and evening appointments.
I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, bereavement and relationship difficulties.
As well as my private practice I have experience of working at Cruse Bereavement Care as a Bereavement Support volunteer, working one to one with people who have suffered bereavement.
Cruse is a national charity that supports bereaved people.
I also have experience in working with adults and young people aged 16 and over with a variety of Mental health problems such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship issues and gambling problems.
I am a Person Centred / Integrative Counsellor which means that together we will focus on your issues and concerns and work towards your goals.
My role as a Counsellor is not to give advice, but I will listen to you, be non-judgmental and work together to make the positive changes you would like to achieve.
I am also qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which looks at ways to help you change your thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
CBT is a structured, collaborative way of working together to help you make changes and achieve your goals, which means that I use a combination of theories tailored to your needs.
I know that one of the issues that can put you off looking for counselling is the cost, and with this in mind I try to ensure my fees match your income and offer what concessions I can.
I am able to offer a few spaces at a reduced rate if you are on a low income or are struggling to afford counselling.
We can discuss your individual needs in the consultation.
You can contact me by telephone, text or email to arrange an initial session.
This is where we meet, take some details and discuss what you would like achieve from counselling.
If you are happy to continue we can arrange further sessions.
These sessions are 50 minutes and usually the same day and time each week, although I can be flexible to fit around your own commitments.
