At times, we can all struggle with challenging emotions such as depression, anxiety and stress. Counselling psychology can assist in overcoming your concerns and help you lead a more balanced and healthy life. Whether you are dealing with loss, lack of confidence, relationship difficulties, or just feeling stuck, I can support you to regain your inner strength and wellbeing.
I work in an integrative way, seeing individuals holistically and draw on various elements of different therapy models in order to address your specific difficulties. A variety of therapeutic approaches are incorporated such as Relational, Psychodynamic, Humanistic, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. I am particularly experienced with attachment issues, relationships problems, brain injury, mental health and wellbeing.
My way of working is based on the understanding that people are more likely to grow and develop in the context of respectful and warm relationships. Based in Broadstone, I am a qualified private psychologist with over 14 years experience.

Is it for you?
Sometimes circumstances in life make you feel down and unhappy.
We all go through different stages in our lives and learn how to cope and try to move forward.
Deciding to seek therapy is not an easy step, requiring you to be open about private matters, fearing that others may see you as needy or damaged.
It is not a weakness to seek therapy, and you might be surprised how many people have taken this step.
Deciding to seek professional help shows that you have an inner strength and courage to face your problems and to change.

Below you can find a brief description of some therapeutic approaches I employ in my work.
Regardless of what type of therapy we choose, the most important thing is that you feel that therapy is useful and helpful to you and that you feel safe and supported within thistherapeutic alliance.
This model is based on psychodynamic, humanistic and integrative traditions theories, research and practice.
All humans are shaped by their social contexts and their sense of self being entwined with their relationships.
