I also appreciate that it may be hard for you to make contact with a counsellor, because that might mean acknowledging that there is something that you need help with, and on top of that, you may be wondering how is it going to help talking to a stranger about it?Talking with someone who isn't a family member or a friend can allow you to be honest without the fear of being judged.I can work with you on whatever it is that is troubling you, to help you explore what is going on for you and what you want to do about it.

I have an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, which incorporates 3 counselling approaches - Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.
You are the one who knows how to get where you'd like to be, although it may not feel like it at the time, and it is my role to support you.

If after our telephone conversation (or email contact, if that's easier for you) you decide that you'd like to continue, then we would arrange to meet for a counselling session.
This first session is a chance for you to tell me what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve, and we can work out together how I might be able to help you.
If at the end of the first session you decide that counselling is for you, then we would continue to meet for 50 minute sessions at a mutually convenient time.
