Graham Landi Wellbeing
Graham Landi Wellbeing offers professional Counselling and Hypnotherapy in Kent. I also offer Life Coaching and Executive Coaching services. I work from a clinic in Maidstone and I also work via Skype or Zoom for flexibility of both time and location meaning that we can work together wherever you are. In addition, for those who don't feel ready to start face to face therapy, I offer an email counselling service.

Professional Counselling and Hypnotherapy are services which can help you make positive emotional change in your life when you are struggling with issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, loss and relationship problems, or when you need to break damaging habits such as poor sleep, addictive behaviours or phobia. You'll find information here about what I can help with and how I use Counselling and Hypnotherapy interchangeably and together in order to help you make the positive changes you want.

I am also a trained and registered NLP practitioner, so I have plenty of tools and techniques to help us get the best from our work together.
Services
When I founded Graham Landi Wellbeing I realised that my interest in people and the things they do has been a constant in my life.
Having spent the best part of a quarter of a century in the corporate world I feared that my soul would die if I didn't make a change.
After a rather disappointingly cliched difficult time in early mid-life I started to re-evaluate everything.
I retrained in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Hypnotherapy and left corporate life to go it alone.
I never looked back.
All of our experiences are unique however similar they look, so I can never know exactly how you feel.
I've done that too, but before I get to that I want to share a personal story.
For me the real value of the work is held in the relationship between therapist and client.
How do I know?
It's because I have experienced therapy as a client at various stages in my life, either to help me get through something too difficult for me to carry alone or as part of being an ethical and effective therapist.
When I first went to a therapist I had no idea what I was looking for and I felt terrified at the idea of opening up my life to a complete stranger.
If you think you are struggling with addiction or dependency I can help you start to understand why you've found yourself here and how yo can begin to take back control.
The challenge with addiction is to find a way to fill that space positively and constructively rather than in the destructive way that you have adopted.
When we are angry or frustrated with ourselves or others for destructive behaviour, and when we dismiss addiction as "weakness" we are worsening the problem which created the addiction in the first place.
We often have a difficult relationship with anger, and it's common for us to see it as an entirely negative emotion.
Regardless of the way you see anger there is one certainty, which is that you are definitely going to experience it through your life.
We push it down instead of allowing it and dealing with it, leading to bitterness, resentment and self destruction.
We lash out disproportionately at those who are closest to us creating more damage and increasing our own frustration and anger.
Anger is an emotion which is full of energy if we could only find a way of using it productively.
Anxiety is a feeling that something bad is going to happen, and that when it does the consequences will be overwhelming and impossible to cope with.
Therefore, regardless of what your logical and rational mind tells you, emotionally it poses a genuine threat, so if you are struggling with anxiety it is important you get help.
The feelings, both emotional and physical, which accompany anxiety are often so powerful that you start to fear the anxiety itself.
You develop anxiety about your anxiety, thus creating a miserable self perpetuating problem.
