Please take your time to look around my website and get a feel of what sort of therapy I offer. I am an experienced and fully accredited Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Group Analyst. I practice from comfortable and welcoming consulting rooms in central Salisbury. I follow a strict code of ethics and would like to assure you that I practice in a safe and confidential way.
I offer psychotherapy to individuals and groups and welcome enquiries by telephone, or email. Following your contact with me we can think about what you would like to gain from therapy and how we can work together. You may not be clear about what type of therapy you need or perhaps what would work for you.
We can discuss this, and I can provide recommendations - sometimes short term focused work can be useful or something more long term, intense or working in a group environment, other times a further referral might be required. What brings you to therapy can be for many different things. You may not have thought of having a problem before, rather a feeling of being different from others.

Psychotherapy is a process that over time sheds light on problems occurring in the present which can be a result of earlier life experiences and unresolved conflicts.
The process involves regular support in a confidential and therapeutic setting.
This can be done one to one: with yourself and a therapist, or in a group.
A group would consist of up to 8 other people and a group conductor who is a therapist.
People in a group are from all walks of life and have all sorts of problems.
You will find others are struggling with similar things as yourself.

Psychotherapy is the process at work between you, your therapist, and group members (in the case of group therapy).
It is reliant on the developing relationship between you and the therapist and group members.
In individual and group sessions patterns, behaviours and emotions are presented consciously or unconsciously which might reveal hidden or ignored aspects of yourself.
The support and safety of therapy can help you understand why you think, feel or act in a way which might be holding you back, or maybe destructive to yourself and others for example.
