Ealing Abbey Counselling Service (EACS) is an established registered charity which offers confidential, professional help and a range of skills to meet the needs of our clients, without discrimination. We are a non denominational service - our counsellors and clients come from a range of backgrounds, cultures and belief systems. Our office and counselling rooms are on the first and second floor of a converted Victorian building and accessed via side fire escape stairs.

We have limited use of a ground floor annexe to the rear of the building for those requiring disabled access. The Service was founded in 1994 and has developed from a small beginning of seven founder members into one of the largest voluntary sector counselling and psychotherapy providers in London. We have around 85 practitioners, most of whom are volunteer counsellors, psychotherapists and counselling psychologists who are at an advanced training stage.

Some of our volunteer practitioners continue to offer their services at EACS post qualification and training.
Services
We offer individual counselling for up to 160 clients on a weekly basis.
This is our main service and we are open for counselling from 8.00am to 9.00pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday morning.
We are a self referral service which means that we only take bookings from the person who is seeking counselling.
We ask for a referral letter from the community mental health teams for those currently being supported by secondary care services.
For anyone seeking counselling in a language other than English, we do have some counsellors who speak a variety of east and west European languages, including Polish.
We occasionally are able to offer two assessor placements a year to counsellors already at EACS who would like the opportunity to broaden their experience while also earning a nominal remuneration.
Placement assessors are part of the assessors team which currently comprises 5 qualified practitioners.
We have up to 19 supervision groups offering monthly support to our placement counsellors.
The groups are eclectic, with both counsellors and supervisors coming from a variety of training modalities.
EACS is a registered charity.
We need support in order to continue providing a much needed service.
We are the only service in the local area that provides low cost counselling on a longer basis (up to a year) to give time people time to address their often multi faceted difficulties.
We are delighted to accept financial donations.
Any donation, large or small, makes a difference.
There are however, a host of other creative ways in which you can assist.
