Woman's Trust is a specialist mental health charity, providing free counselling and therapy for women who have experienced domestic abuse. 1 in 4 UK women will experience some form of domestic abuse and it's the leading cause of depression among UK women. Yet we are one of the few organisations addressing the link between domestic abuse and women's mental health.
Since 1996, we have supported thousands of women from across London, through our free counselling; group therapy; and self-development workshops. If you are in, or have experienced an abusive relationship, we can help you to get back on your feet. Our professional counselling, support groups and workshops have all been designed to give you the support you need to get back to being you.
Whether you feel isolated; depressed; lack self-confidence; have low self-esteem or low motivation - we're here to listen, without judgement, and to help you recover. Find out about the different types of domestic abuse; how to spot the symptoms of abuse; what to do if you're worried about someone in an abusive relationship; and facts and figures on the impact of domestic abuse.

We collect data so we can see who we are reaching and supporting and we analyse and evaluate this data every year.
To help us reach domestic survivors across the different communities and London boroughs, we have put a number of measures in place to ensure that our services are available to women regardless of their age, location, employment status, or financial or religious background, for example.
