We are a counselling centre in the heart of Birmingham. We are dedicated to providing a low cost first class face to face counselling service for adults from Birmingham and the surrounding area, who can travel to meet a counsellor here. We are also able to provide a telephone counselling service. Through counselling, we can assist you with a range of issues, and have been helping in this way for over 50 years.

The Centre is open again, providing face to face counselling, and also telephone only counselling. Our counselling service is accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). Our voicemail service is operating at all times, therefore please leave a brief message and appropriate contact details if you would like to have a return call.

Carrs Lane Counselling Centre Ltd is a registered charity run on a voluntary basis.
We are one of the pioneers of counselling for adults within Birmingham and we have been successfully helping people for over 50 years.
We are based in the centre of Birmingham.
We are dedicated to providing a low cost first class counselling service for adults from Birmingham and the surrounding area, who can travel to meet a counsellor here.
We are also able to provide counselling by telephone.
Through counselling we can assist you with a range of issues.
The Board Of Trustees at Carrs Lane Counselling Centre, are all volunteers committed to supporting small charities, and are selected for their passion for the sector, the skills they are able to give to the charity, and their ability to take Carrs Lane Counselling Centre forward year on year, building on its successful mission to provide a high quality low cost counselling service to those in need.
The Trustees meet once a month with the Counselling Centre Manager for two hours.
The Trustees are also responsible for the production of an annual report to the Charity Commission on the activities and financial accounts of the Counselling Centre, which can be viewed by visiting the Charity Commissions website here.
The Volunteer Counsellors at Carrs Lane Counselling Centre are supervised and managed within CLCC Ltd and work within the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework.
Most of our counsellors are qualified but some are in training and work to the same high standards as qualified counsellors.

Firstly, anyone and everyone can gain some benefit from counselling, no matter what your age, gender, ethnic origin, religious or cultural background and no matter whether you are able-bodied or otherwise.
Counselling practice occurs within a private and confidential environment where within this safe, secure and accepting space, your problems can be thoroughly explored at your own pace.
The aim of counselling is not to give you advice but to offer you a supportive relationship where you can feel safe to explore how you are feeling and what may feel right for you.
Carrs Lane Counselling Centre has a multi-cultural workforce of volunteers and staff, and we seek to be flexible to the ever changing needs and diversity of the local multi-cultural community for whom we provide a service.
