Services
I undertook a five year training in psychotherapy with the Karuna Institute, graduating with an MA in Core Process Psychotherapy.
Working with the dynamics of all kinds of relationships is something I feel impassioned about, as well as the wider implications of the relationship of humankind in the global systems of interconnectedness and interdependence.
I work with a diverse range of clients and enjoy supporting individuals to discover their full potential and growth through self-understanding and acceptance.
Psychotherapy offers a safe, supportive and confidential space to explore ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we relate to our past and present experience.
There are many circumstances in which people seek the support of therapy: you may be suffering from anxiety or depression; you may be dealing with loss or change in your relationships; you may be facing challenges in your work or home life; or you may be trying to manage the effects of abuse, addiction, bereavement or depression.
You may simply be feeling that something is missing from your life, without understanding why.
I work from a dedicated & peaceful garden room in Bruton, Somerset.
I offer an initial 30-minute session which would give you the opportunity to discuss what you are seeking from psychotherapy, and to ask me any questions you may have.
I work both short-term - where the therapy is more focused on a particular issue and can help as a support to help you through a crisis - and long term where psychotherapy works at depth and can help to find the root causes of particular issues and behavioural patterns and look at ways to change these with ongoing support.
Being in any intimate relationship can be a uniquely challenging and painful place to be at times.
Communication breakdown, blame, judgement, deepening resentment and hopelessness can all emerge and seem to suffocate all sense of hope.
Challenges such as this can be seen as all part of the healthy growth cycle in any relationship and as an opportunity for the relationship to move out of unhealthy dynamics and stuck patterns.
I work in a deeply supportive role to the relationship.
I offer an authentic and safe space to fully explore the issues that are arising, and rather than seeing the issues as deeply problematic, see that instead these can be a catalyst for growth and discovering a deeper authenticity in relating.
I offer 1:1 therapeutic sessions in natural woodlands and outdoor spaces.
These sessions are similar to regular therapy sessions although we may 'walk and talk' or sit amongst the natural environment.
During the sessions we may utilise the resource of the nature & outdoors as part of the therapeutic work.
I offer regular ongoing weekly sessions of 1 hour in nature - and these can also be part of your ongoing therapeutic journey.
Ecotherapy is an umbrella term for a diverse variety of nature-based restorative practices which can include Horticultural Initiatives, Wilderness Experiences, Animal-Assisted Therapy, Walking Therapy, Nature Awareness and many more.
