The Independent Counsellor
Counselling gives a unique time and a protected space that allows you to face and find a way forward to deal with the problems that are causing you emotional distress. I specialise in helping people cope with problems that are having a significant impact on them and/ or their loved ones. This includes personal problems, bereavement, loss of employment, coming to terms with long term health problems, trauma, anxiety, confidence.

This is not an exhaustive list. Everyones needs are different, so please do get in touch if the issue you are experiencing is not noted in the examples provided. There is no waiting list and appointments are arranged within 7-days of the initial free telephone consultation. All enquiries are welcome and all calls come straight to me. I will agree with you a suitable time to provide to you an initial FREE telephone consultation.

This is provided without any obligation to start counselling. If you decide you do wish to start counselling we will discuss and agree suitable arrangements for your appointment and I will forward to you a terms of service.

Fiona is committed to ensuring people have access to effective, professional and affordable, private counselling and therapy at their point of need.
Fiona is committed to providing a professional helpful service, is fully qualified, insured, supervised and holds enhanced PVG Scheme certificate.
Fiona's experience has been wide ranging helping all people equally to deal with a wide range of personal and human difficulties, circumstances and traumas.
Person centred counselling is centred on the individual; who they are, what life they have experienced and what factors have brought them to where they are today.
Counselling gives time to allow each person to face and to explore how they can go forward.
Examine how those problems (already being faced or newly emerging) affect how you relate to those around you, loved ones, family, friends.
Help you develop goals that are relevant & unique to help you identify your plan and understand what is the right way forward for you.
I provide a free intial telephone consultation to each individual seeking counselling.
This allows you to decide if you feel you wish to work with me and ensures I am able to assist you.
