Lifestorm Counselling
Is your anxiety affecting your everyday life? Do you feel that things are out of your control? Have you lost a sense of who you are, or what you want from life? At Lifestorm Counselling, I provide confidential and private counselling services to suit your needs, helping you to regain composure and storm back to life. The name Lifestorm came to me as I watched a Cape cormorant attempting to land during a severe gale off the South Atlantic coast of South Africa.

I observed how the bird eventually touched down safely because of its perfect adaptation to flying in extremely rough conditions. The cormorant enjoys a relatively simple lifestyle centred mainly on fishing and flying. We humans face an infinitely more complex existence. We are not always as perfectly adapted as we might hope to be, especially when put into complex and difficult situations.

We are unlikely to be ready for all the storms that come our way. As a counsellor, it is my privilege to embark on interpersonal journeys with individuals over the age of 18 who have encountered unwelcome turbulence of one sort or another in their lives.
Services
At Lifestorm, I offer a warm, confidential and welcoming space for you, where you will be able to discuss your problems and difficulties.
My counselling approach helps you to feel respected, understood and valued, and we will work together towards the changes you want in your life.
The purpose of counselling is to help you, the client, recognise your strengths, discover the beliefs and emotions that could be restricting your emotional growth by talking openly and freely to someone who is impartial and emotionally free of entanglements.
Robust mental health in the face of difficulty is a challenge that comes to all of us at some point in our lives.
Heading into the great outdoors, whether on foot or on my mountain bike, never fails to release huge mental health benefits and significant physical payoffs.
It really boosts my sense of wellbeing.
Over the past 30 years I have walked and cycled many miles and set myself lots of personal challenges to test and build my physical and mental grit.
Highlights include riding the South Downs Way in a day and riding from Land's End to John O Groats off-road.
If you prefer to call you may be asked to leave a message - however I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Either way, we will look to undertake a free 30 minute introductory consultation over video call or telephone where your specific needs are addressed in detail and full session availability can be discussed.
