Due to my recent experience I am now adapting it to be helpful for people who have received a life limiting diagnosis like cancer. I am also raising funds for Prof Gourley to carry out research in Edinburgh University for Low Grade Serous Carcinoma ovarian cancer ( currently not funded by the main cancer charities as it is a rare one).
I have a specific interest as I have been diagnosed with this. All people have problems at some time in their lives, anything from difficulties with relationships, low self esteem, wanting to quit smoking, to weight problems, lack of confidence, phobias (dentists, flying, dogs, or certain foods) and of course a life limiting diagnosis like cancer.
It is recognised more these days that anxiety and stress plays an enormous role in our lives and how important it is to manage it for our longer term health and well-being. It is especially important for people with cancer to try to reduce the amount of stress they experience as this can exacerbate the spread of the disease.
