Any couple know that there can be intense challenges to openly loving and respecting or even understanding each other.
We are conditioned to believe in the happy-ever-after of romantic love, and can end up disillusioned by the reality of how our partner actually feels, communicates, behaves and thinks.
Relationship difficulties can evoke such painful feelings of being alone, unappreciated, betrayed, worthless and hopeless.
Healthy relationships are challenged, through life's knocks such as illness, caring for family members, work pressures, or retirement to name a few; or simply the passing of time leads to the relationship being neglected.

I offer support that values and aims to nourish your professional competence, confidence and integrity.
In a self-reflective and good-hearted space we candidly and safely explore issues arising in your work.
As well as addressing therapeutic and mentoring work, I encourage a broader perspective of how to sustain yourself and your practice in this, at times, isolated and challenging profession.
I offer one to one or small group supervision, which is a particularly creative and supportive way to pool experience, intuition and wisdom and broaden your learning.

Feedback is very useful and welcome, so please feel free to give it to me at any point.
I will regularly check in with you about what is working for you in our sessions and if there is anything you would like to be done differently.
If you have any problems or concerns about the counselling relationship please raise these with me in the first instance.
However, if you would feel more comfortable discussing them with someone else, please contact the BACP's 'Get help with counselling concerns service' gethelp@bacp.co.uk which provides confidential guidance and information if you are concerned about my professional practice.
