Counselling In The Community
Who are we? Counselling in the Community is a counselling service aiming to offer adult, children and young persons' counselling services to the Blackpool and the Fylde area. Blackpool is an area where it can be difficult to access mainstream services and private counselling can be costly, this is where we endeavour to help with an accessible and donation based counselling service.

We ask for a minimum donation of 5 subject to personal circumstances. Counselling in the Community is registered at Companies House as Counselling in the Community.
Services
Counselling in the Community is different to many other organisations because we believe everyone has the right to access counselling services quickly, All we do ask is for a minimum recommended donation of 5, subject to personal circumstances.
Attending counselling can be quite daunting.
Anyone that accesses our service will be invited to an initial appointment, these normally last about half an hour, this is just enough time to gather some information, see our rooms and the non-clinical approach we take.
At Counselling in the Community, we are lucky enough to have several counselling rooms that we can hire out on an hourly basis.
We are offering an introductory price of 12 per hour.
These rooms are decorated to a high standard and provide a comfortable, safe space for you and your clients.
They can be used for other purposes as well as counselling such as CBT, Mindfulness, hypnotherapy, beauty treatments and so on.
We also have a group therapy or meeting room to rent out at 20 per hour.
Block booking discounts apply.
What is counselling?
Counselling allows a person to discuss issues that may be causing pain, depression, anxiety or generally low mood by providing a regular space for you to talk about and explore your feelings.
It requires commitment to attend counselling for a number of sessions as it may take time before a difference can be seen.
2. What can I expect from my first session?
Your first initial appointment will be with one of our highly trained counsellors so you can ask any questions you have about counselling and they will do their best to answer these and put you at ease.
