I am a fully qualified therapist offering private, one-to-one sessions either online (via Zoom) or in-person at The Albany Centre in St. Albans, Hertfordshire. I offer clients a warm and understanding environment in which they can feel free to discuss concerns and issues about their life.
I believe we can all benefit from making time and space in our lives to sit down with another person - someone we trust will listen to us with care and sensitivity - to explore and re-evaluate the parts of our life that are causing us pain or difficulty.Through this process of collaboration we have the chance to develop new understanding and perspective on ourselves and our problems, which in turn can help us achieve greater self-acceptance, a clearer sense of purpose and a more fulfilling way of living in the world.

Services
There are several different kinds of counselling, each based on different ideas about how people work and what is most helpful.
However, a lot of research shows that the different theories or 'models' in counselling are less important than the quality of the relationship between the client and the counsellor.
If a client trusts the counsellor and feels safe enough to be open with them, then a space is created where they can work together to explore the client's experience and identify what help is needed.

In the current circumstances I am mostly practicing online via Zoom.
My in-person practice is in St Albans, Hertfordshire, at The Albany Centre, My fees for online sessions are currently reduced to 55 (in-person 70).
Daytime and weekend appointments are now available.
Appointments will last for about 50 minutes, and we would usually meet once a week, at the same time each week.
I am happy to work with clients in the short, medium or long-term, depending on their needs.
As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am subject to the professional conduct therein.
