Sheffield Central Counselling
Whether you're feeling stressed about work, worried about your relationship or feeling low and depressed, we're a team of professionals qualified in counselling and psychotherapy, and we can help. We aim to make counselling accessible and offer sessions in the daytime, evenings and weekends. We are currently delivering all sessions remotely via telephone or video call.

Our online booking and payment system allows you to view our counsellors' availability and book an appointment that works for you. All of our counsellors can speak to you either via telephone or video call (using Zoom or another online platform). Research shows that remote counselling methods are just as effective as face to face counselling and there are some benefits.

There is no travel time and more flexibility about when and where you speak to the counsellor. Speaking from the comfort of your own home can help you to feel safer and able to open up to the counsellor more easily. Bear in mind that you will need a quiet and confidential space where others can't overhear what you are saying.
Services
Sheffield Central Counselling has been making positive change in people's lives since 2008.
We're a team of qualified and experienced counsellors and we have all had counselling ourselves.
So as well as being professionally qualified, we know what we're talking about from the inside out.
The icons next to each name show which counsellors are currently offering remote or face to face counselling.
Imogen has broad experience of counselling in a variety of different agencies.
She has special expertise in working with with issues such as drug and alcohol addiction, and with the family members of addicts, as well as bereavement, anxiety and depression.
As there is limited availability for these sessions please contact us on 0114 326 0043 if you are unable to book a session via the website and we will add you to our waiting list.
All of our counsellors are happy to use either telephone or video call for counselling sessions so you can choose which feels best for you.
Video allows you to see each other which makes it feel more similar to face to face sessions and you may feel this helps you to build a relationship with the counsellor more quickly.

I have always known that I needed some help from an early age and I decided to start counselling sessions.
Bay was a fantastic councillor and it was great to be able to openly talk about things that I had bottled up for years.
She used practical methods to help me to understand my thought processes of healing my inner child and after 5 sessions I felt much calmer, less tearful and able to make more positive relationships as my fear of abandonment has been controlled and understood through understanding my inner child.
