During our early years from 1997 we were located in Banners Gate and moved to our current premises in 2005, having become a Company Limited by Guarantee in 2003 and a Registered Charity in 2004. This enabled us to expand and our office is now open for 5 day sessions and 2 evening sessions a week. There are 4 counsellors present at each session enabling a potential of 80 counselling appointments per week.
Altogether we currently have 29 counsellors and 12 receptionists with others providing administrative support. All of our staff are volunteers. Remote sessions (via a video platform such as Zoom or by telephone) can be arranged outside office hours by mutual agreement between the counsellor and the client. A number of such sessions will continue to be available after the office re-opens for in person sessions.
Our counsellors use a Person Centred/Integrative counselling approach and treat all of our clients with dignity and respect, regardless of individual differences. Your counsellor will be alongside you as you discover the changes you may wish to make and any feedback or comments from clients are welcomed and important to us.

Services
Our counsellors are qualified and are able to deal with a wide range if areas and situations presented in your sessions.
It is helpful to us that when you initially contact the Centre for an appointment that you let the receptionist know the areas you would like to talk about.
We can then allocate the appropriate counsellor to you.
