Awareness Counselling
If you think that your emotional wellbeing is not what it should be, or if you're living with something on your mind, I highly recommend talking about it, rather than suppressing it as that can lead to depression. Couple Counselling can look at household responsibilities, rearing of children, social activities, money, communication, sex and general happiness.

We can explore what brings you in to counselling, allowing both parties to be heard in a confidential and safe environment. This can lead to empowering you to make the choices you desire and help reduce the influence of problems. Highly experienced professional Psychotherapist/Counsellor with over 20 years experience. I work with both individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for a brief time period, with the aim of enabling you to live more resourcefully.

That we are born as ok human beings and through family, friends and social relationships we adapt our opinions and attitudes in order to relate to people. This natural process can become unhealthy if we over adapt to suit others and can effect the way we value ourselves.

Stress is an adverse reaction we have to excessive pressure or other situations we face in our lives.
It can leave us feeling overwhelmed or overloaded by the demands placed upon us.
It may be a response to the feeling that we have more work to do than we can fit into our working day, or it could be related to worries about finances, relationships or a change in our circumstances, such as moving house.
Stress is not always bad.
It's a normal human response and can be good at motivating us.
But if we are feeling overwhelmed by this stress for a long period of time it can impact on our mental and physical health.
Everyone has times when they feel low.
Depression is when you feel this way for weeks or months at a time and it affects your ability to get on with and enjoy your life.
But the good news is there are a variety of treatments that can help with depression, including counselling and other talking therapies.
A counsellor can help you explore the feelings you have and accept them.
As well as low mood, depression symptoms can include feeling very tearful, irritable or angry, losing interest in things you previously enjoyed or feeling tired and having less energy.
Relationship counselling can help improve the way you relate to those around you and allow you to break free from old patterns of behaviour.
Counsellors can provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to help you identify issues or problems in a relationship and find a way through those difficulties.
Relationship counselling can cover all relationships, including couples, families and those at work.
It can support you with small or major relationship issues that are troubling you.
But a relationship doesn't have to be in crisis before you pursue counselling.
Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear that is a normal response to a range of different situations.
It can affect your mental health when you feel anxious every day and can't remember when you last felt relaxed.
Counselling can help you explore the cause of these feelings, understand them and suggest ways of dealings with situations.
A counsellor can help you learn how to cope with anxiety.
Anxiety stems from our 'flight or fight' response.
This happens when our body feels as if it's in danger, says Caz Binstead, a counsellor based in London.
