Cornerstone is a professional counselling service based in Yateley, Hampshire. We are a registered charity providing affordable, confidential support to individuals and couples aged 18 and above. We continue to be able to offer online counselling at this time, as well as some limited face to face support. See HERE for more information about how we are providing counselling at this time.

We offer a safe confidential space to talk about whatever you are facing and can help with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, loneliness, loss and bereavement, relationship and family difficulties and low self-esteem. Considering counselling can be daunting but our counsellors are not here to judge you or tell you what to do.

Instead we are committed to building a trusting, supportive relationship with you, that can help you find a way forward and bring about positive changes in your life.
Services
We are a registered charity, providing short and longer term confidential support to individuals and couples (aged 18 and above).
Please take a look at our mission statement for more information.
Our counselling rooms are based at Chaddisbrook House, in the centre of Yateley and our clients come from a wide surrounding area.
We are within easy reach of junction 4a of the M3.
We offer you the opportunity to explore your experiences and feelings and work through difficulties in your life, in a safe, supportive and confidential environment.
Over several weeks, your counsellor will come alongside you in these difficulties, helping you to gain a better understanding of yourself and your circumstances.
Counselling invites you to change by helping you to find new strength and the freedom to make your own choices.
Counselling is based on listening and is not about giving you advice, telling you what to do or judging you.
Our counsellors come from all walks of life and have developed their own areas of specialism and ways of working with clients.
We always look to allocate the right counsellor for your particular needs.
We have nine counsellors who are professionally trained for the work they do and adhere to the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, of which Cornerstone is a member.
We do offer placements to some counsellors in the final stages of their professional training.
When you first contact us, you will be invited to meet one of our senior counsellors for a 50 minute assessment session, for which there is a 10 fee.
At this session, we will take some background information from you, explore what you would like from counselling, explain what we offer and agree an affordable fee for your counselling.
If you wish to proceed, you will then be matched to a counsellor who will see you on a regular basis, for as long as necessary for your particular needs.
Your counsellor will contact you to arrange a first session at a mutually convenient time.
We are extremely grateful for all donations given to the invaluable work of Cornerstone.
All money received goes towards making our counselling affordable and accessible to clients who would not otherwise be able to use the service.
All our counsellors give their time on a voluntary basis.
Alternatively, you can give by post; please send cheques made payable to 'Cornerstone Counselling' to: Cornerstone, Chaddisbrook House, Reading Road, Yateley, Hampshire GU46 7LR.
We are always keen to hear from qualified practitioners looking to extend or expand their experience or give back to their local community.
