Counselling Plus is a charity which offers confidential counselling to people aged 16 years plus, in the local area, at such times of stress, change, pain or loss. One of our main aims is to provide an affordable service for those on low income or living on benefits. Services
We have specialist counsellors who are trained to counsel people who have been raped or sexually assaulted for clients referred to us through The Saturn Centre.
If you do get referred to us through The Saturn Centre we are funded to offer ten sessions of counselling, which can begin almost immediately, with further sessions possible.

Clients may be referred by a range of statutory and voluntary agencies or are may self-refer.
After a thorough and empathic assessment, those for whom counselling is appropriate, will be offered counselling which will explore and confront the issues they face.

Counselling Plus Community is working in partnership with SCDA (Sussex Community Development Association) to offer additional support for people affected by suicide.

We provide effective and timely support for anyone who is thinking about suicide, has recently attempted suicide or has been affected by suicide (families and carers, friends and colleagues).
This is a free service offering one to one and group support across East Sussex.
As well as face to face counselling we offer telephone support where appropriate.

We take Continual Professional Development (CPD) very seriously at Counselling Plus Community, and provide a number of one day training events each year.
