Deciding that we need the help of a counsellor can feel daunting and it takes courage to take that first step to get in touch. Sometimes, when we feel confused or overwhelmed about how we feel and where life is taking us, it is very helpful to have a supportive space, away from people who are closely involved in our lives, to talk about what is troubling us.
I offer a non-judgemental, confidential and safe space to explore together your feelings and gain insight and deeper understanding of yourself and the issues that bring you to counselling. It can often feel, in the midst of our pain and confusion, that our lives have been upturned, a bit like a jigsaw that has been thrown in the air and has come down in a scattered muddle.
I am trained to listen carefully and together we help you to make sense of what is happening; to put those jigsaw pieces into place so we can more clearly see the picture of what is happening for you.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and am UKRCP registered.
I began my working career in a helping profession, often dealing with people who were in great pain and distress.
This then led me to train as a counsellor so I could better help with life's difficulties.
I have my own Private Practice in a purpose built Counselling room attached to my home in Rayleigh, Essex.
