Energy EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is often referred to as "Psychological acupressure".
Energy EFT works by releasing blockages within the energy system which are the source of negative emotional intensity and discomfort.
These blockages in our energy system, in addition to challenging us emotionally, often lead to limiting beliefs and behaviours and an inability to live life harmoniously.
This results in either emotional and/ or physical symptoms and can include lack of confidence and self-esteem, fear, feeling stuck, anxiety, depression, compulsive and addictive behaviours.

Understanding the signs, symptoms, causes and treatment of depression is the first step to overcoming the problem.
Negative thoughts and behaviour may predispose an individual to depression and make it nearly impossible to escape its downward spiral.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an effective treatment for depression (NICE Guidelines).

If you have healthy self-esteem your beliefs about yourself will generally be positive.
You may experience difficult times in your life, but you will generally be able to deal with these without them having too much of a long-term negative impact on you.
You will tend to focus on any weaknesses or mistakes that you have made and may find it hard to recognise the positive parts of your personality.
You may also blame yourself for any difficulties or failures that you may perceive you have.
Teachers, friends, siblings, parents and even the media give us lots of messages - both positive and negative.
