Counselling is a talking therapy where we can explore our thoughts and feelings and experiences at our own pace and in the knowledge that we will be truly listened to.
As Person Centred Counsellors, we at Libertas, will offer an empathic, non-judgemental and confidential understanding, and we will tailor the way in which we work with you to meet your needs.
We will provide the safety to explore and understand your feelings and thoughts.
Every Counsellor at Libertas is accredited with the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and holds a Counselling qualification at Masters Level, thus offering you the assurance and confidence that we will work with you to a highly professional standard and in an ethical manner.
The ability to 'manage' the experience of the loss of our loved one is dependent upon the individual, the nature of the support available to us at that time, and indeed the circumstances of the death (Spall and Callis, 1997).
Sometimes, we are left alone to grieve as our friends and relatives may not know how to support us, and our busy lives offer us little time to sit and reflect.
How many times have we heard that we 'should be over it by now' or 'you need to get on with it'.
Such throw away comments can make us feel somehow guilty or ashamed for not feeling how we are supposed to feel, when really what we need is someone who will truly listen, and empathise.
Do you struggle to see the positive aspects of your life?
Low self esteem?
Does it seem that other people seem to be succeeding and you don't feel like you are? Have you lost your spark, but cant put your finger on why or indeed how to get it back?
If this sounds like you, and you feel as if your self image is negative or low, then come and have a talk to us, we have a range of therapies that could really help you see things differently.
Firstly, come and have a chat and we can decide together which way we can work together, whether it is with counselling, or if you feel that NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) would help, or possibly to use hypnotherapy to change your feelings about yourself.
Massage therapy is beneficial on its own; however when it is used in conjunction with essential oils, these two therapies can be synergistically more beneficial than when they're performed separately.
Aromatherapy massage involves a massage treatment using essential oils.
How does it help?
Aromatherapy massage therapy is extremely beneficial and is an excellent way of reducing stress.
The essential oils affect the autonomous nervous system and calm the 'flight and fight' response of the human body that causes a release of harmful stress inducing hormones.
Indian Head Massage has been practised in India for over a thousand years as part of everyday family life.
Indian Head Massage works on areas affected by mental and emotional stress.
In Western culture today we spend much of our time in our heads, so this treatment can really help to calm the mind and is surprisingly deeply relaxing.
Working with a firm and gentle rhythm it helps to relieve muscular discomfort and tension as well as calming the spirit and aiding relaxation, it also improves circulation in the head, enhances the senses and promotes clear thinking.
