I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellor and Psychotherapists (BACP). I provide a calm, safe and supportive environment for you to explore whatever you choose. I work mainly with women and with a huge range of issues, including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, bereavement and workplace stress. Fees for supervision are 50 for a 60-minute session with concessionary rates for charitable organisations and counsellors starting up in private practice.
Penny has helped me through a difficult time in my personal life, during which I've made some big decisions and changes to my life. In a few weeks I have managed to do what I have been trying to do for years. I came to Penny with some difficult issues and she was really practical, offering suggestions for techniques that I've put into practice. I have found using several CBT techniques particularly helpful for controlling anxiety.
Penny has helped me come a really long way in a relatively short time, and get my head a LOT clearer.

Taking a person-centred approach (which means I follow the pace and needs of the client) I listen closely and am non-judgemental.
I offer support and understanding, in a non-critical way, and can help you to explore areas of your thinking and behaviour where you may be experiencing difficulty.
I undertake long-term work as well as short-term, goal-oriented work.
Both long and short term work often leads to those I see taking decisions and making changes to their lives.
