I am a qualified person-centred psychotherapist and humanistic counsellor, a registered member of both the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy) and the IAEBP (International Association for Evidence Based Psychotherapy). I have enhanced disclosure Criminal Records Bureau, now known as DBS certification to work with both adults and children.
In my private practice based in Shrewsbury town centre I work with adults and young people, I also work with adolescents, teenagers and children as a school counsellor. In addition I work with survivors of sexual violence and domestic abuse with both adults and young people (13yrs+). My aim is to provide a safe, confidential, supportive space for clients to explore the often complex, highly personal issues, experiences, feelings or behaviours which may be causing distress or hold us back in life.
Whatever the presenting issues, clients come for counselling and therapy because they no longer want to feel the way they have been feeling - it's natural that we all want to understand what is happening and why, and more importantly find a way to make changes.
